About Me
Hi, I’m Ivan Barrera, the person behind Nivaq Tech. I’ve always had a passion for technology and helping others make the most of it. With over 15 years of experience in enterprise IT services, I decided to take my expertise and build a service that’s both efficient, personal, and affordable to small businesses and freelance workers.
My Story
I started my carrier as a programmer working for EMC (now Dell EMC) and ventured into other Fortune 500 and tech companies such as UBS Investments, Hewlett Packard, Unisys, OpenText, Context4Healthcare, Nokia, and iManage. I also have experience working for many Managed Services companies which allowed me to understand why medium and small businesses are left behind without getting proper IT services and support critical to their continual success. I have a Bachelors in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Security from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. I'm also CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ certified.
Why I Do What I Do
After years of working in IT Industry, I realized that many people and businesses were frustrated with slow or impersonal IT support. That’s why I launched Nivaq Tech —to offer fast, reliable, and tailored solutions without the typical corporate hassle and price tag.
